Interchange Area Management Plans (IAMPs)
The purpose of an IAMP is to protect the function of the interchange and could mean property access and local access changes within a quarter of a mile of an interchange. As part of the Sunrise Project process, ODOT is required to develop IAMPs in cooperation with local governments when the state invests funds into constructing new interchanges or making significant investment in existing interchanges. The proposed Sunrise Project has three interchange areas, including a midpoint interchange in the 122nd area. There have been several open houses and small group meetings on the Sunrise IAMPs as they have been developed and refined.
For those residents, businesses, and property owners near the existing
1-205/212/224 (Clackamas) Interchange and proposed Sunrise Project
Interchanges, we invite you to attend an Open House this November to review the three draft Sunrise IAMPs and
provide an opportunity to review the latest information on the Sunrise
project Preferred Alternative, which will be published in the Final
Environmental Impact Statement in 2010.
There will be one comprehensive plan amendment to the Chapter 5 of the
County Comprehensive Plan which will cover all three IAMP areas. There
will be one comprehensive plan amendment to the Happy Valley
Comprehensive Plan which will cover the portions of the IAMP areas that
are within the City. Information will be available at the Open Houses.
The City of Damascus is expected to include provisions relating to the
Rock Creek IAMP in its Transportation System Plan.
